Feldenkrais Method - Lightness of the Permeable Body and Building Up Power in Movement

weekend 7 – 8 February 2026

The Feldenkrais Method as a means of reviving stagnant areas of the body so that they re-engage in movement. A process that expands mental capacity for surrendering to movement and effectively rewriting dysfunctional kinetic patterns.

The weekend seminar offers an exceptional opportunity to penetrate to the essence of the Feldenkrais Method under the guidance of a true legend of the field. The fascinating Israeli teacher, closest student of Moshe Feldenkrais and martial arts master Moti Nativ combines the enchanting subtlety of the Feldenkrais Method with its dynamic power in a changing environment, whose goal is to improve the ability to act and respond effectively. He awakens the ability to respond to life with the lightness of a dancer and the precision of a fencer.

Moti’s unique approach transcends the usual framework of Awareness Through Movement. In it, Moti conveys the key elements of true movement mastery. He calibrates your internal compass to a completely new level of sensitivity to space and leads to perfect harmony of skeleton, muscles, nervous system with the external environment. In his rendition, the feeling of lightness, dissolution of blocks, increased mobility or relief from pain are just the beginning – he awakens in you the ability to dance with the transformations of your surroundings and transform every challenge into an opportunity to build an efficient resilient body regardless of age, experience or physical condition.

During playful yet deep practice you will discover how radically the Feldenkrais Method transforms your dialogue with the surrounding world. You will discover within yourself a strength that does not come from developed muscles, but from the ingenious organization of the body in the gravitational field. You will acquire skills immensely valuable in everyday life as well as in any movement discipline. You will awaken a sixth sense – the ability to read subtle nuances of movement and respond to them with the lightness of a butterfly and the clarity of an arrow. The surrounding environment will become your ally, a source of support and strength. You will begin to act directly and move with minimal effort and maximum efficiency, adapting to changing conditions during movement, thereby eliminating unnecessary strain or injury.

„For a living being, movement does not mean only displacement in space, but also an enormous amount of internal nervous and muscular activity that precedes this displacement.“

This seminar turns traditional training philosophy upside down. Instead of exhausting repetition and endless load increases, Moti will guide you on a path of quality, adaptability and movement intelligence. In doing so, you explore and verify Feldenkrais’s principles of efficient movement and learning:

  • Adaptability and action in a changing environment: A key ability of the body to organize itself according to changing conditions.
  • Quality over quantity: Emphasis on movement quality, use of dynamics and adaptability.
  • Internal strength: Discovering strength that does not stem from muscles, but from intelligent organization.
  • Rotation and spiral movement: Important for efficient movement, spatial orientation and self-defense.
  • „Unstable stability“ / Dynamic stability: Judo masters behave as if their body were governed by principles of „unstable equilibrium“, thereby achieving dazzling results. Dynamic stability is stability gained through movement. Posture is more of an „action“ (a set of mutually balanced actions) than static holding.
  • Effort reduction for increased sensitivity: Less effort allows better perception of subtle differences and improvement of movement (Weber-Fechner law).
  • Movement reversibility: The ability to stop movement at any moment and return or change direction.
  • Slow movement and attention: Key for identifying habits and discovering new possibilities.
  • Making mistakes: An important part of the learning process.
  • Mind-body connection: The way we move affects brain organization and vice versa. Thinking and perception have a fundamental influence on movement.

About the method

The Feldenkrais Method is a new approach to understanding oneself. It is a natural learning process. Its effectiveness lies in the ability to induce change in the nervous system processes and thus improve their functioning. The Feldenkrais Method is recognized worldwide primarily for its remarkable ability to improve upright posture and body alignment, its flexibility and coordination. It uses organic learning, movement and sensing to free us from habitual patterns and movement stereotypes, thereby allowing the emergence and natural development of new patterns – both physical and psychological.

The effectiveness of the Feldenkrais Method and its great success is utilized worldwide in the artistic field (professional dancers, musicians and actors), in top-level sports and last but not least in cases of treating various types of movement restrictions, chronic tensions and pain, as well as developmental disorders.

Moti Nativ (Israel)

is a living bridge between the Feldenkrais Method and the world of martial arts. His unique insight into both systems grants him the ability to recognize the subtlest nuances of movement. A deep thinker and experienced practitioner, at 75 years old he radiates energy and vitality that inspires his students around the world. His work focuses on synthesizing both disciplines, awakening inner potential, improving quality of life through conscious movement and understanding oneself in an ever-changing world.

As a master of Ninjutsu/Budo Taijutsu (Bujinkan Dojo), Judo and Krav Maga, Moti has traveled a long path of intensive training that subjected his body to many trials. When injuries threatened his ability to continue on the path of Budo, he discovered in the Feldenkrais Method not only a remedy, but also a deeper understanding of the principles of movement.

His research points to how Moshe Feldenkrais, himself a Judo master, integrated martial arts principles into the development of his method. Since 2008, Moti has led over 300 workshops worldwide focused on the synergy of martial arts and the Feldenkrais Method. He has also developed a unique course „Improving Warriors’ Ability“, which provides martial arts instructors with effective training tools based on the Feldenkrais Method. In the past, he served as president of the Israeli Feldenkrais Guild and his work has significantly contributed to preserving and expanding Feldenkrais’s legacy.
